Gabbie loves the idea of rainbows, I remember being fascinated with them when I was little as well. She has enough Noah's ark books that she sees a lot of rainbows in them. As well as her "Splish Splash" video that ends with a rainbow song.
Yesterday after it rained on us a little, Amber came over and rushed in to tell us that there was a rainbow above the trees! How exciting! We ran outside and took pictures, and of course, sang the rainbow song. It has been a long time since I saw a rainbow also. They were a lot more common in New Mexico, where we had clearer skies and such. I remember seeing several double or triple rainbows in the desert that were absolutely wonderful. Once I even thought I drove to the end of a rainbow. But there is one problem. Rainbows are elusive. If you do get to the end of one, you can't see it because you are too close. You have to back away to see the beauty of it. Life can be the same way.
