Gabbie has been learning about batteries. She now knows that if something doesn't work or is "broken" that it most likely needs new "bat-rees."
In the process of getting ready for the new little one I have been digging things up out of odd places, like the baby monitor out of the toy box! So she saw the receiver of the baby monitor yesterday and asked about it. I explained that it still needed one more battery to work. She said, "okay, fix it!" I said I needed to find one more battery. Gabbie then went on her own hunt for batteries and brought me some from her room, size D, that go in her mobile! She was so proud, she had brought me the "bat-rees, fix it!" I thanked her and showed her that they were too big, and we went and found one that was the right size.
She also thinks that this part of the monitor is a "phone for baby" and has held it up to my belly several times so that the baby could talk! She also hugs my belly, puts on lotion for me, and tells my belly night-night! This age, though challenging, can be so precious and innocent, I love my baby girl!

So sweet. My little ones also think every broken thing needs new batteries.... or "sticky tape."
Although for a while there, any broken thing was probably just "out of ink."
