Apparently I was bitten by a tick last week. We think it happened on Saturday, and it imbedded itself in me. It was in that spot on my back that you can barely reach and hardly see unless you turn funny in the mirror. The only way that it was discovered, was Amber and I went swimming and she saw it after I got out of the pool. We knew I hadn't gotten it there, it was too far in already.
Donald operated on me with some tweezers, but was not successful in pulling the head out, it was too far in there. We killed the head by covering it with nail polish for a couple of days. Then I let Joey operate on it some more using a "sterile" exacto knife and some tweezers. I am impressed with myself for letting him do that and only telling him it hurt once. He still wasn't able to get all of it out. We have neosporined it, but it is still a little inflamed and itchy. I am definitely going to have the dr. look at it tomorrow. Don't worry Amy, I am looking for any symptoms of lyme disease after your scary episode with Sarah last summer. So far I'm okay, but am wondering if the sudden cold I developed was given to me by the stupid tick.
Ticks creep me out by the way. In many ways I am glad that it was in a spot I could not see or reach. It made me rely on others to get the creepy thing and didn't gross me out!
