positive thinking

I have (unfortunately) heard negative things about my husband and lifestyle lately. These negative things hurt even more than normal because they came from a close family member. Who will hopefully never read this sight. Though I will do my best to not reveal who they are. I love them very much, and it hurts that they don't like my husband most of the time. These comments always affect me and my thinking. So I am making myself think positive things about our family and husband. I will list a few here, so that I can remember them.

(And yes, I got part of this idea from another blog that I read.)

My husband:
  • Has a sensitive heart underneath the rough tough outside that he has sometimes. He will bring home stray animals, and also anyone that needs a meal, a hug, a friend, and ocassionally, a home to stay in.
  • Is working so very hard to see his dream become a reality. There need to be more people that chase their dreams like he does.
  • He tells me to slow down.
  • He gives me hugs and kisses just when I need them.

My kids:

  • Make me laugh when they laugh at me laughing!
  • Make me appreciate disposable diapers more and more.
  • Make me want to eat them up when the smell of clean sweet lotion after bathtime! Mmmmm!
  • Remind me of the innocence that we all started with and wish we could have back.

I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this. It does hurt when a person you love says something negative about the person you've chosen to spend your life with. Good job staying positive and focusing on the good things about your family.
