Sisters are wonderful. At least mine is. Sisters are especially wonderful when they are your best friend and will talk on the phone with you for an hour and a half and not mind the kids in the background or when you have to ask someone if they are "stinky." Sisters are the people that you can honestly vent to about your parents and they don't think you are weird or ungrateful, because they understand in the unique way that only they can. They understand when you are upset and know how to cheer you up. They have "been there, done that" and know what you are going through. They know how to pray for you in a way that only they know. They can give advice without being offending, and ask for advice when they need it. You can help each other with projects in each other's specialty areas, and laugh at each other's jokes.

And now I know why I feel like I'm not done having kids. Because I would love for Gabbie to have a sister. I love my little girl. And while I hope to have a great relationship with her, a sister would be great too. My sister filled the gap between where my mom left off and I began in my search for knowledge and self. She was a second mom, and still is. But is also "Sister." And absolutely irreplacable. I love you Joanne.

Oh no you don't. Don't talk me into thinking I need another baby. Sarah will just have to do without a sister... Maybe she can be really close to her cousin Charleigh instead.
That's what I am counting on.
Amy-I knew you were going to think or say that! I hope Sarah and Charleigh will be close. I was never super close to my brother, but I had a guy cousin 1 1/2 yrs. younger than me, and we have always been close. So it is definitely doable!
